How We Ship Records
We ship records the way we’d want them shipped to us: securely packed, clearly tracked, and handled with care. Below is exactly what to expect when you order from Five Buck Bin.
Shipping Options
We currently ship from the United States using USPS. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your address and selected method.
- USPS Media Mail (most orders): The most affordable way to ship records, includes tracking, and is ideal for the majority of vinyl orders.
If you need faster delivery, Priority Mail is available by request.
Because Priority shipping costs vary based on package size and destination, we don’t list it as a standard checkout option. If you’d like to upgrade:
- Place your order using Media Mail
- Contact us and request a Priority Mail upgrade
- We’ll send you the updated shipping cost and a simple invoice for the difference
Once the upgrade is paid, your order will ship using Priority Mail.
Processing Time
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days (excluding holidays). Once your shipping label is created, you’ll receive a tracking email automatically.
How We Pack Records
Records are fragile — corners, seams, and jackets can take a beating in transit. We pack orders to reduce movement and protect edges.
- Sturdy record mailers designed specifically for vinyl
- Protective padding to help prevent corner and seam damage
- All orders ship with tracking
Tip: If a package arrives with visible external damage, take a quick photo before opening — it helps us resolve issues faster.
Used vs. New Records

New records are sourced directly from trusted distributors and shipped with the same care. If anything arrives with an issue, contact us and we’ll help.
Tracking & Delivery
Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link via email. Delivery speed depends on USPS transit times and the shipping method used.
- Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear
- Media Mail can be slower during peak shipping periods
- If tracking shows “Delivered,” check locally before contacting us
